3338 Law Enforcement Ambush Response

Course is for licensed TCOLE Peace Officers. Course is free of cost.

This course is designed to train Peace Officers how to identify and respond to ambushes.

Topics covered are:

Shooting sooner not faster

Efficiency of movement

Equipment preparation and placement

Barricade shooting

Shooting in and around vehicles

Simmunition scenarios

Students will need the following equipment:

Eye and ear protection

Pistol with at least three magazines

Rifle with at least three magazines (BCSO Employees will have option of using agency training rifles)

300 rounds of rifle ammunition

300 rounds of pistol ammunition

If students normally wear a vest it needs to be used during course

If student normally wears duty belt that should be brought. If student normally carries concealed or an office style belt then that should be utilized for course. 

May bring your own Simmunition protection, but some will be provided
