Lunch at the Library

Post Date:05/10/2018 4:50 PM

Beginning June 4, kids can get a free hot lunch throughout the summer at five Brazoria County Libraries as part of the Houston Food Bank’s Kids Café program. The lunchtime meals will be provided at these libraries on the following days:

Alvin -  Monday to Friday

Angleton -  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Clute, Freeport and West Columbia  -  Monday to Thursday.

Please contact the individual branch for specific times.

The mission of the Kid’s Cafe program is to help alleviate child hunger by providing children with nutritious meals at times when other resources are not available during the summer. The first come, first served program is open to all boys and girls aged 18 and under.

Kids Café is one of the nation’s largest nutrition education programs, providing children with healthy nourishment planned and prepared by professional dietitians and chefs.
