Floodplain Administrator Joe Ripple recognized by GrantWorks in Commissioners Court

Today in Commissioners Court, GrantWorks recognized Floodplain Administrator Joe Ripple for his vital role and leadership in the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP). The HMGP-funded elevations and reconstructions have played a critical role in safeguarding vulnerable homes and families from future flooding events. This program would not be possible without the partnerships between the Brazoria County Commissioners Court, Brazoria County Office of Emergency Management, Brazoria County Floodplain, Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and GrantWorks. We are grateful for these partnerships and for the 100 homes that have been elevated through this program.
