The Brazoria County Historical Museum invites the community to a special program honoring the Women of Brazoria County and the everyday objects that tell their stories. The event will take place Thursday, March 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the museum, located at 100 East Cedar Street in Angleton. Admission is free.
This engaging program highlights historic items from the museum’s collection — including antique curling irons, household tools, clothing accessories, and other personal artifacts — that reflect the daily lives, work, and creativity of women in our community across generations.
Guests will discover how these objects were used, who might have owned them, and what they reveal about life in Brazoria County in earlier times. Through these tangible connections to the past, the program offers a meaningful look at women’s history and the essential roles they played in shaping the community.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a longtime local, or simply curious about the past, this showcase provides a unique opportunity to explore local heritage through the items women used and cherished every day.
