Brazoria County Mosquito Control gets New Equipment

The Brazoria County Mosquito Control District has added a new larvicide granular hopper to help control mosquitoes before they become adults.

This equipment allows our crews to treat larvae producing habitats where mosquitoes breed, applying larvicide granules prevent mosquito larvae from developing into adult mosquitoes.

You may hear this equipment operating during the daytime hours. It uses the same engine and GPS system as our spray trucks, while it can sound similar, this equipment is NOT spraying adult mosquito control products.

Daily treatment schedules will be posted on the Mosquito Control website so residents can see where crews will be working.
