Brazoria County, TX – Brazoria County residents are invited to come out for a fun and informative day at the 2026 Brazoria County Hurricane and Disaster Preparedness Expo on Saturday, June 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brazoria County Fairgrounds, located at 901 S. Downing Street in Angleton.
This free, family-friendly event is designed to help residents get prepared for hurricane season and other emergencies while enjoying activities, demonstrations, giveaways, and resources for all ages. Admission and parking are free.
The Expo is made possible thanks to the generous support of event sponsors CAER (Community Awareness and Emergency Response), H-E-B, and Velasco Drainage District, whose continued partnership helps bring this valuable preparedness event to the community at no cost to attendees.
“This event is a great opportunity for families to learn how to prepare before a disaster happens,” said Brazoria County Judge Matt Sebesta. “Being prepared can make a real difference, and the Expo brings together the resources, information, and local experts residents need to help keep their families safe.”

• Free Hot Dogs and Goody Bags – Enjoy a hot dog and pick up preparedness materials while supplies last.
• Touch-A-Truck – Get an up-close look at emergency response vehicles and equipment used by local first responders.
• Exhibitor Booths – Visit with local agencies, organizations, and community partners focused on emergency preparedness, safety, health, and recovery resources.
• Preparedness Presentations – Hear from the National Weather Service and other experts on important topics to help residents prepare before disaster strikes.
• Door Prizes and Giveaways – Enter for a chance to win great prizes, including emergency preparedness items and one of five portable generators!
