Role of the Interpreter
Understanding What the Interpreter can do:
-
Provide interpretation that is accurate and impartial while you are before the court

Aid in counseling session within the Courthouse with your attorney

Provide Sight Translation of the form/s you are asked to fill out by the court
- Walk with you to aid communication and help you get answers to your questions at offices within the Courthouse or by a qualified individual
**Be advised there are two Qualified Bilingual Spanish employees available to help you within the Courthouse. Criminal matters are prioritized over Family and Civil. You may need to hire you own interpreter for Family or Civil matters **
Understanding What the Interpreter can't do:

Provide legal advice for your case within the Courthouse and/or outside of the Courthouse

Prepare or fill in documents for your case (you must be present)

Charge for any services provided; interpretation is free of charge
