The purpose of Emergency Management is to save lives and prevent loss of  property. The community needs to be aware of the elements that can threaten their lives and property. Once the threat is identified, the essential resources can be determined to assist in restoring the area back to an acceptable status. This can be accomplished through education and disaster planning.
