Brazoria County Parks: Rules and Regulations

Day Use Park Rules

For information from the health department on COVID-19, click here.

The Brazoria County Parks Department is dedicated to providing our community with safe, outdoor recreational spaces.

The county beach and Surfside Jetty County Park are both open.

Several of our parks will be closed to day use in an effort to minimize the risk of the COVID-19 virus. This includes Quintana Beach County Park, San Luis Pass County Park, Resoft County Park, and the visitor’s center at Stephen F. Austin-Munson Historical County Park.

Quintana and San Luis Pass continue to host both RV and cabin campers, but will no longer allow day use visitors.

Inland parks still open to the public are Hanson Riverside, Albert Finkle, Buffalo Camp, and Camp Mohawk. At these parks both restrooms and playgrounds will be closed to guests. Brazos River County Park will remain closed until further notice.

All operational department maintained boat ramps continue to be open.

In an effort to minimize the risk of the COVID-19 virus, we ask that all park and beach visitors follow the social distancing guidelines placed by the CDC.

By entering our parks, you've committed to respecting our staff and the other guests by adhering to these rules. We want everyone to be able to enjoy a little time outside during these stressful days, and we appreciate your cooperation.
