Brazoria County Crime Stoppers
ABOUT US
Brazoria County Crime Stoppers is a civilian, non-profit, 501c3 organization that is made up of volunteers from all over Brazoria County. It's a joint effort between the citizens, the media, and law enforcement in Brazoria County. Brazoria County Crime Stoppers meets one a month.
Brazoria County Crime Stoppers operates a 24-hour tip line. It is answered 365 days a year, allowing citizens who wish to remain anonymous an opportunity to call in and leave information to assist local law enforcement agencies. Callers remain anonymous throughout the entire process and may be eligible for cash rewards UP TO $5,000.00. (if the information provided leads to an arrest in a felony crime). Once the tip information is received, it is directed to the appropriate investigating agency allowing that agency to follow through with a criminal investigation.
Brazoria County Crime Stoppers has fully operating Campus Crime Stoppers at 24 campus’. The Campus Crime Stoppers falls under the umbrella of the Adult Crime Stoppers and allows the students to report crime at there schools. Cash rewards are given to tipster at the campus level for tips that provide leads to crimes on the campus, that either lead to an arrest or school discipline.
FUNDING
The program is funded by grants from Criminal Justice Division. Funding for the program also comes from county courts. The program receives 15% of all court fines when judges assign a fine as punishment for a crime that has been committed. None of the funding comes from your tax dollars.
SUBMIT A TIP
To be eligible for cash reward, you must report your tip directly to the Brazoria County Crime Stoppers by calling 800-460-2222, submitting it via the P3 smartphone app, or online.
If you call your local law enforcement with a tip you will not be eligible to receive a cash reward from Brazoria County Crime Stoppers.

- Tipster does not give their name, address, phone number or any other identifying information
- All tips are anonymous (no Caller ID, calls are not recorded, Computer IP’s not saved, locations not tracked)
- Tipster is given a Tip ID code. Save the tip code! There is no way for us to look up the number
- Tip ID code is required to track the tip status
- Law enforcement agency receives the information provided by the Tipster and investigates
- If the tip leads to a felony arrest, the Tipster may be eligible for UP TO a $5,000 cash reward

REWARDS
Tip information is collected and routed to a law enforcement agency. If the tip leads to an arrest, a reward amount will be assigned. The board members will vote on the amount. When the tipster calls to check the status of the tip, he/she will be given the details of how to collect the reward. Brazoria County Crime Stoppers meets once a month.
