A third-generation Brazoria County resident, Commissioner David Linder proudly serves the constituents of Precinct 4. Born in the “Old Dow Community Hospital” and raised in Freeport, he graduated from Brazosport High School in 1981 before attending Brazosport College and the Law Enforcement Academy in Alvin.

David brings over 30 years of experience as a successful business owner in both construction and retail, along with 20 years of service as a Texas Peace Officer.  He worked as a patrolman for the City of Angleton and later as a Deputy Constable with Brazoria County. A longtime rancher and Lifetime Member of the Brazoria County Cattleman’s Association, David’s diverse background provides him with a unique perspective on the many facets of life in Brazoria County, equipping him to better serve his community.

Elected Commissioner of Precinct 4 in November 2014, David has applied his life experiences to guide his office toward a stronger future. He currently serves as Commissioner’s Court liaison to the Airport, Environmental Health, Purchasing, and Child Protective Services departments. In addition, he is actively involved in numerous civic service organizations and serves on multiple boards and committees dedicated to improving the quality of life for Brazoria County residents. David is also a devoted member of The Bridge Church in Angleton.

David and his wife, Mollie, have been married for 41 years and reside in Bailey’s Prairie. They are proud parents of Justin Linder and wife Sarah, Ryan Linder, and Allison Christensen and husband Conner. David’s most cherished role, however, is “Paw Paw” to his three grandchildren.
